Performance can create and sustain communities and activate historical legacies. Lyam will discuss three of their projects that work to cultivate queer space. Last Call’s Alleged Lesbian Activities, a cabaret musical, podcast, and oral history project about lesbian bars in New Orleans. the dance floor, the hospital room, and the kitchen table a VR archive and multimedia performance tracing the lineage of queer care from the 80s to the present day. Galatea by MJ Kaufman, a new play centering T4T love and trans joy at Lehigh. There will be time to have a conversation about Galatea and dream of more transformative queer performance work at Lehigh.
