Michelle Alexander the NYT best-selling author ot "The New Jim Corw: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness," will deliver the keynote address for the university's yearlong celebratio of the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Marin Luther King Jr., the slain civil rights leader. Awards will also be prsented to community members who have committeed to social justice.
